I don't believe schools would be willing to provide housing, food, healthcare, travel, etc. etc. to non-students. But I could be wrong.

If the schools have to pay the athletes, that won't matter.

I don’t see schools paying non-students to play ball and provide them same they are providing students to play ball. I think they would give it up and let be non university related. Stand alone with investors. True minor league for NFL. Schools get back to their primary function, education. Of course that drives everything but football to club sports.
