Yep - We're in an awful situation. Huge gains on O from last year, but our D is killing us. Results in an honest struggle on how best to handle it. Maybe the most conservative (and cheapest) move is to replace Sal with a proven Defensive Coord.
However, another big question is who's really returning on O next year. We could see a slight set back in performance on offense and that would be painful to bare with a week D.
Agree for the most part. I am not so sure that our D coordinator is the problem. Sure, he has made bad calls in hindsight, but when you have zero secondary and the lowest LB's in pass coverage I have ever seen combined with an innate inability to tackle as virtually every position, there is not much you can do. You are going to look bad on virtually anything you call against the four teams we have played against.
