Was just watching the USC/CAL game and noticed that USC'S stadium was not anywhere near full. Why would top recruits want to go to a place with such a crappy fan base? You just cannot beat Vol fans, and SEC Fans..

71 consecutive sellouts at Autzen and counting. Longest stretch in Pac-10 history.

Of course... Only having to sell 59K Tickets helps :p

What will you be saying about Vol fans if Bama floods Neyland again this year?

Recent National Champions, Heisman winners, tons of NFL players, sunny California.

Why would recruits want to go there?

There are 80,000 people there almost every game.

Besides, it's LA. There are about a million different things better to do than watch a college football game.

I'll have to agree with this. Location will never hurt USC...

Depends on who you ask. I love it here because of the warmer weather and more laid back and more conservative. SF is beautiful and very fun but colder and super liberal.

What is the population difference of LA and Knoxville? USC fanbase is a joke.

Enough to mean that USC basketball or football isn't the only thing going on in Los Angeles. Knoxville can't often say the same thing.

How many million to how many thousand cant fill a stadium to watch the "wonder" franchise that is SC? Cmon man. Bandwagoners for the most part.

They haven't averaged near that this season. Even Espn called out USC fans.

Far be it from me to trust Wikipedia, but the numbers I'm seeing are.

81,375 for Virginia
82,796 for Washington
72,386 for Cal

Given the standard practice number fluffing, 70k in the stands is pretty pathetic.

i was there. half the donor seats were empty. no chance in hell that was a legit 70K. i would be suprised if it dropped lower than uw since cal brings a lot of fans.
