This may have been explained or discussed before, but I was just looking over their schedule, and they play 13 games this year. Is a team free to schedule as many games as they want? Just curious.

Bama did this during their bowl ban. Not sure how it works but this isn't the first time a probation team played 13. They too played Hawaii that year.

jist is that because it's a pain to fly all the way to hawaii they let teams that play them schedule an extra game.
