USC suddenly fired Frank Cruz for willing violation of the hour restrictions for coach directed activities.

they named an assistant as interim coach.

Two questions...

(1) would they have done this if Cruz's record had been better (48-63 over 2-seasons)?

(2) Do they make a run at Serrano after the season?

What are the specifics of the 20hr violation??

I couldn't find much detail but I am curious as to the specifics

Could be wrong but I think Coach Serrano likes it at UT.
Now if people will give him some time we'll be winning the SEC Tourney and beyond.
GO VOLS!

+1. I think we suprise a few teams "this" year,

People forget CDS worked at UT before as an assistant and interviewed for the job when Raleigh was hired. He wants to be where he is and will do great here.

Usually just a reader but..... I just happened to be at the Airport Hilton when CDS was here for his interview. Super nice guys by the way. I had to go up to congratulate him, because he was hired on the spot if I'm not mistaking. But they had already announced his hire. Anyway, he told me he was SUPER excited to be here, and he hoped he could be here a long time. I know most coaches have certain one or two liners they like to spew, but this man seemed genuin Vol fans!!! Go Vols

Joan Cronin did a good job by hiring Serano; however, it was a common sense hire. He had success at his former job and he was a good assistant at U.T.

It was a safe hire and I believe it was a good hire. I see us in the World Series, once these freshmen mature some.....

USC has been in trouble with the NCAA and it's an easy way to look like they have changed their ways. Just get rid of a coach with a losing record in a non revenue sport.
