Lots of short passes and space is created for Reggie Bush to make plays

usc was lucky to win that one. It crushed my fan heart. Yes, Bush was the one usc guy Fresno State couldn't stop...but he definitely did get away with a couple things (stepping out of bounds on the one big TD run, and an enormous hold where his O-lineman literally dove at and tackled Fresno State's safety from behind).

Sour grapes? Dang right! And now usc is going back into hiding and will probably never schedule the 'Dogs again. All-time series is 1-1, with Fresno State winning 24-7 in the '92 Freedom Bowl. Pretty ridiculous for two programs within a 3 1/2 drive, don't ya think?

Check it out at The Bulldog Bounce.

i'd argue fresno has problems scheduling pac-10 teams because they're fans are biggest collection of redneck asshats in the country.

but i'm sure you are right. the real reason is SC is afraid of playing a team that hasn't won the wac in 10 years.

That will become a BB signature play at UT.

Ryan Kalil
Winston Justice
Sam Baker
Taitusi Lutui
Fred Matua
David Kirtman

I think we're going to love some of the things they do with Bryce, but this is also the offensive line that USC boasted that year. Reggie was one of the most dynamic backs we've seen in college football history, and Bryce could join that club. But I can't say our ability to get out there and block SEC players (no offense to Fresno State...well not much anyway) is anything short of a wildcard for how Bryce eventually performs.

It's little man syndrome. There are dozens and dozens of little teams that think because the local BCS schools don't play them every other year, they are scared. Maybe they don't play them every year because there is nothing to be gained from it.... Nah, that can't be it.

fresno has been requesting a home and home with cal and sc. i know for a fact that after the last road game to fresno the abuse received was so bad that multiple large cal alumns said they would stop donating if we ever scheduled them again. apparently oregon recently had a similar situation.

That's pretty bad. And like I said, what good would a home and home with Fresno State do for a Pac-10 school? Why would one play at Fresno State?

there actually is a decent amount of talent in the central valley there, so that is why a lot of schools have scheduled them in the past. that talent level is why pat hill is unquestionably the most overrated coach in the country. the fact they aren't the boise state of the wac with better talent is mind blowing.
