Firstly, this is the same brilliant observer, Matt Walsh, who submitted this gem in December of last year:

Secondly, I personally think CJH has already been proven right wrt to the dynamics of college players having tons of leverage in today's ncaa.

ETA: I am wrong. I am letting this stand so all can revel in my only mistake since joining the board in 2011.

More fuel for Kirby to use. Dawgs will come out blazing in this one. Hope we can match that level of intensity early on. The longer we can hang around the more our crowd might be an influence. Not so optimistic but that's no surprise to most on this board. UGA just has too much talent right now. We're closer but still not close enough.

This is Matt Hayes. Matt Walsh is an entirely different sort of irrelevant observer.

UT can win. If they do, it will break the "Georgia has so many great players" mantra down to "they're beatable".

I think because so few have beaten them in the past few years, there is a sense of inevitability about them winning. Someone will beat them when it's not a fluke and the myth of their invincibility will crumble. After that, they will be the new Alabama, losing to equal or lessor teams because the myth has been shattered.

Ole Miss and Notre Dame beat them. No way they have the talent Georgia has and I am pretty sure that Ole Miss didn't even have the talent we have.

I agree about the talent levels of our teams, but good QB play (UT) and bad QB play (UGA), if this happens can be an equalizer.

You got the name wrong, but you are correct that both articles were written by the same person.

We will be closer to talent in 2027 and 2028
