There is about five teams ranked ahead of us that shouldn't be. Why is clemson all of a sudden a sexy pick for acc champ. They'll disappoint just like every year.

LSU at 6...Really? I know they are talented on D but their QB situation is not good enough to be a top 5 or 6 ranked team

Sometimes they go by what you did last year. In their case its true. Don't worry they won't be there too long.

so in the span of 4 weeks we play #5, #11 and #1? Great opportunity for those young men

These polling outfits apparently think Stafford has improved tremendously.

huge challenge, but stranger things have happened. we could win all 3.
i worry about FL. more than the other 2.

If we beat Auburn, Florida, and Georigia will BYU still be ranked ahead of us?

No need to worry guys...
While Auburn should have a solid football team, I think they are getting a little too much love. I don't think we should have a problem pulling out a W as long as we can put up some points.
Second, the overrated hype for Georgia is the largest in recent memory. We all know that over the past 10-15 years, only preseason highly ranked SEC team fails to live up to expectations and tanks (think us in 2005). While I don't expect GA to pull a 2005 TN type year, I do expect them to lose 2 to 3 games. There is no reason we can't be one of those losses. In additon to mentally owning them because of the past 2 years, we are just as talented of a team. With the exception of Moreno at RB (which doesn't really matter since we probably have the 2nd best back in the SEC), we are superior to them at every offensive position (QB is questionable to). Their receivers compared to our D backs and safeties isn't even close. If we can hold Moreno under 150-200 yards, then we can easily win the game.

I haven't been confident in the Vols for awhile, but I truly believe this is the year we surprise some people and overachieve. This team can play with anybody, and I think winning 2 out of 3 (against FL, Auburn, and GA) solidifies us as a BCS bowl type team. We have the ability to get these W's if we come to play and remain confident.

Agreed...VT has a better shot than Clemson IMO.
I guess it makes sense when you think about it. VT lost alot especially on offense and miami and Freeshoes are down so i guess clemson is a safe pick. I still don't see it happening though.

Only three SEC teams not receiving votes... Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Vandy. Not too shabby for the conference.

The people who voted for Notre Dame, Maryland, and UCLA are exactly the reason nobody respects the polls.
