We all know that Uros is a great team mate on court. His NIL take is impressive as well!

"I shared a post a while back about my in ability to profit from NIL partnerships due to my visa status. Since then, I’ve been exploring the possibility of using my NIL to help local charities. And now, I have an update I’m excited to share. With some helpful guidance from our compliance office and the staff at UT’s Center for Global Engagement, I now have approval to enter into NIL agreements as longs as all the funds are transferred directly from the sponsor/partner to an educational or charitable non-profit entity. In other words, I can’t receive any money, but I can help raise money for worthy causes.
This news allows me to leverage my platform as a Tennessee Volunteer in a way that benefits families and organizations in the Knoxville area that have real needs. I’ve already talked to Coach Barnes and asked for his guidance on some local charities that do great work. I shared a post a while back about my in ability to profit from NIL partnerships due to my visa status. Since then, I’ve been exploring the possibility of using my NIL to help local charities."

This makes no sense to me. I can understand a visa getting in the way of personal appearances but the internet appears to have no boarders. Could he not be compensated for on line type of advertising? What am I missing?

Visas, and particularly student visas, come with very strict rules regarding income. Another example is that for many international graduate students studying in the US, spouses/family members they bring with them are not allowed to work here.

It's too bad that Uros can't benefit from NIL, but I applaud him for thinking of this route for giving back.

To reinforce, when I was studying abroad in Japan we had a strict no-work clause in our student visa, but could take extra steps to acquire a student WORK visa that allowed a certain number of hours of work over a certain amount of time (may have been weekly).
