I was just watching Gameday, and it's amazing how poor a sport and how egomaniacal Urban Meyer is.

I literally cannot believe how often he has run up scores for no reason. What a total jack***.

I really hope he goes to Notre Dame, he'd be perfect for them.

On the flip side, I hope that Lane Kiffin, once the wins start rolling, wont turn into the same type of guy. Respect your opponent.

Not trying to break your balls here or anything but what the hell do you call the Western Kentucky game 2 weeks ago?

1) Its your job to stop us. Not ours to let you.

2) Don't give him a reason to do it.

Agreed. Not gonna fault a team for playing hard all the way through, but there is a time to pull the starters and let the second string try to pour it on.

Exactly at what point in time did the "respect your opposition" go away in favor of "we're just running our offense".

I think Meyer is a founder of this directional move. This is college sports, with student athletes...and we should have enough mutual respect ON THE FIELD to not run up scores unncessarily. When you have a DL score a TD when you're up by 3 TDs in the last 2 minutes or call 2 timeouts under 2 minutes when you're up by 35+, it just shows you have zero class.

And in the professional ranks, where this stuff should happen if it ever did, it does NOT. Thanks Urban, for contributing to ruining amateur sports.

This situation is easy to explain, moreso than it seems.

1. There is nothing wrong with beating a team by 50 pnts. And there is nothing wrong with scoring points after a game is decided. - That being said, it is not classy to do it with your 1st string on the field. If you have your back up players in the game, and the other team can't keep you out of the endzone, thats your fault. Also, if you put in your backups, you can't tell them not play their best, it is not fair to a guy trying to get more PT.

2. The don't give him a reason to do it, is silly. If he leaves his 1st sting in too long to rub CLKs face in it, and someone gets hurt. He is screwing himself. I have watched promising seasons end because a coach was more full of himself, than just winning the football game.

And by the way, CPF never fired any shots at UM, didn't keep him from runnin it up with his 1st string in the game late.

it is our job to stop you....the point of the post is that he has run the score up on anyone and everyone he could, even when he had no reason.

Both of you, see e.g. Mark Richt and the last two UGA games. Richt sends his entire team onto the field to celebrate a TD and reaps what he sows next time out.

Its like that.

So Kiffin running up 60+ with his starters still in under 5 minutes left in the 4th Qtr is..... what would you say?

Like who? With first stringers in after the game is out of reach? Where the opposition had not somehow earned it?

Meyer has always had an ego. His arrogance is evident every time I hear him speak. I root against Florida even when they play non SEC opponents strictly because I hate their coach.

Check our depth chart, we had people in the game with 8 mins. left that I did not know was still on the team. Our 1st string QB left the game at the beginning of the 4th quarter, Berry did not play much, if any in the second half. Along with many others. Our 3rd and 4th string RBs were scoring TDs late. If he every does it, I will call him out on it.:hi:

Get your facts straight.

You proved nothing in that post, other than he did and will do it. Im not arguing that.

Got a reason why he run it up CPF?

You along with the other gators on here will not answer that one.

I guess I'm not understanding why, when someone posts a message calling my coach a jerk and ahole, and I defend him in a VERY cordial and completely logical manner, that makes me a troll.
