You know, I'm sure it hurt CUM's feelings and all, but if CLK honestly thought it was a violation, then whats the harm in reporting it? Forgive my childlike simplicity. One of their players calling him bozo? Come on, its not like we insulted CUM's mother. Kiffin thought he cheated, so he called him out on it. Why is a grown man still whining about it? Again, please forgive my simplistic little tiny vol brain.

It was on CNN/SI originally and Meyer was saying he considers Monte a good friend and excellent coach and was surprised by Lane's comments as a result.

First of all, Meyer was asked a question specifically about whether or not he was surprised by comments, in the context of his relationship with Monte Kiffin.

It's not like he was asked a general question and brought up Lane's comments on his own to make a point. Secondly, he said nothing else on the matter. How is that whining exactly?

If anything, blame the reporter who asked the question if you're that tired of hearing about it.

Urban actually gave in interview somewhere where he talked about how he and Monte are pretty good friends. He also said how much he respects Monte for his knowledge about the game. Everybody in Florida knows Monte's a defensive genius and a legend here, and it would be stupid not to recognize that.
