Uploading a File from a URL

Everytime I try to add a picture or image now from a URL using the manage attachments feature on the board, I keep getting this message

Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

And it wont load the picture

any ideas on how to fix this? / how i can get the board to let me load from URLs again?
