Rex I've wondered the same thing. I asked on another board last week and no one knew. Hopefully he's healthy and enjoying retirement.

He and John Ward were UT football to me growing up.

I see Mister Anderson at Chesapeake's on a semi regular basis. He seems to be healthy and happy.

Really nice story...prayers for your family. This reminds me again how spoiled we were with John Ward/Bill Anderson in the booth and took it for granted.

best wishes to your dad. that is a great story. i'm glad the volnation member was able to help you out. i used to never turn the tv up when the vols were on. i always listened to John and Bill on the radio. Nothing against Bob but he took over for a legend and that's a hard thing to do.

Great story. I do miss John Ward quite a bit. I don't bother to turn down the TV and listen to radio anymore.

Kudos to John Ward and the anonymous VolNation member taking time out of their day to bring such joy to Doc's Dad. It's times like this that make me proud to be a Vol. Prayers for your Pops in his battle with cancer.

Awesome story. I have a similar autographed picture by John Ward from the time I met him 5 or so years ago. He is a class act through and through. Prayers sent, for you and your father.

Only thing that would be better is for John Ward to come back and call games, and for your father to be in the seats listening on the headset. God Bless.
