Anyone else had the problem of suddenly getting several magazines in the mail that you didn't order? Seems like going to be a lot of trouble calling each to cancel.

I get several. I just tear off my address and leave them on top of the mailboxes (I'm in an apartment complex).

My wife randomly got a an SI subscription. We were never charged so no idea where it came from. Most weeks I just chucked it into the recycle bin.

Except the swimsuit issue. I did browse that copy.

Someone at work was saying this is a scam and credit cards are getting randomly charged for the garbage -- keep an eye on your statements every week

It depends. What are the magazines? Have you ever bought anything online or from the company's website you are getting the magazines from? Who is the magazine addressed to? Does it actually have your name and nothing else or does it have your name + "or current resident". If it only states "Resident", "or current resident" typically these things are freebie junk mail. It might be worth it to check your credit/debit card statements for any charges for said magazines.

Had my name(misspelled btw) and address on all the mags. Stuff like Vanity Fair and Town and country.

I know with Rock Bottom Golf they give subscriptions away when you order unless you uncheck the box.

I ended up with a subscription to Cigar Aficionado that way. Of course you can't call the magazine company to cancel though. I had to call a different 1-800 number to do it.

I'm getting Architectural Digest at one of my tenant's house. Weird.

A few years back I started getting Ebony. Addressed to me and everything, don't know why. Then I moved out of state, didn't bother to send them a change of address of course, but damned if they didn't start showing up at my new house with my new address on the label. Eventually stopped but I got them for like a couple years.
