I don’t expect to win this game but I expect a hard battle.

TN has never won in Knoxville in the first game and then followed it up with the season sweep in Rupp Arena.

TN swept KY in 1978-79 and in 1998-99, but the first games were in Rupp Arena.

Before this year, KY had never lost 3 consecutive years in the TBA.

It's unusual for me to think UK has little to no chance. Even rarer that it's a home game where that is the case. But UT seems to be on a nice roll while UK is getting in the habit of letting games start to get away for them. Not gonna go well if that happens again.

I really mean this. We control the outcome of this game. If we play well you can't win. We simply are a better team and you guys need us to play poorly

I'm guaranteeing a Vols win. Kentucky has mad talent, but they are soft and dumb. I think Cal is a great coach, but this team is like the Noel-led team that didn't even make the NCAA Tourney. Luckily, for UK, their best player isn't hurt or they would be NIT bound.

A lot of false bravado in here for a program that has beaten UK in Lexington twice in my entire lifetime.

I think we can win, and I think we're the better team this year, but in my 38 years we've had the better team several times only to walk out of Rupp with an L. Believing we can win and expecting/guaranteeing a win are two different things. I realize that's probably an unpopular opinion.

I hope the players have that type of confidence, but fans need to temper their expectations and hope for the best. We sound like Georgia football fans right now.
