The Kentucky Wildcats have updated their football depth chart, and there are some notable changes for this week's matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers.

At free safety, it's now Mike Edwards or A.J. Stamps listed at the starting spot. Stamps has pretty much locked down that spot since coming to UK's campus from the JUCO ranks last year, but now it appears there's more competition for his spot heading into practice this week.

Edwards was on the two-deep depth chart last week as the backup behind Marcus McWilson. Nickel corner Blake McClain is now listed as the backup strong safety behind McWilson.

At cornerback, Derrick Baity is now listed as a co-starter with Cody Quinn. Baity saw his first significant playing time of the season this past Saturday at Mississippi State. The true freshman may now be ready to take the senior Quinn's starting spot he's held for so long.

UK coaches just trying to fire-up Stamps. He is a stud and he will play the majority of the snaps, I'm sure.

Looks like our passing game is finally getting a little respect.

Sounds like we spread them out and run it down their throats.

I love me some old school Tennessee smashmouth football!

That 4 play 75 yard TD drive against alaBubba made kenSucky think we can throw the ball a bit.

The old FEAR of our Tennessee footVol team is already starting to return and I love it!

The Stoops name has help their recruiting but it won't work.

We are still Tennessee and have no fear of the kenSucky mildcats and never will.

The tears and the beers will flow in Lexington Saturday night!

Another Big Orange WIN is coming to kenSucky!

Run, run, run, run, run, run, run and more run against them and the rest of the season.

Run Hurd, Kamara and John Kelly until they fall down. I would give Hurd 25 carries, Kamara 20 and Kelly at least 10.

Stamps has been non-existent this year. He missed a couple key tackles against MSU that allowed huge plays. McWilson has always been a really inconsistent player. Pretty much all our secondary players have struggled time to time. The best has probably been Westry, a true freshman. It worries me that after 3 years our defense is still this bad with Stoops, who was supposedly a very defensive minded coach.

Stoops doesn't have the kind of players that makes a good defense.

True. We haven't seen many of his recruits hit the field yet. Still dealing with a lot of juniors/seniors that are not the ideal player he wants. I would have to check, but quite a few of the seniors were probably Joker recruits aside from Juco plugins.. Turning UK around is gonna take a loooong time.

Kentucky will come out fired up at home itchin for a win. Similar to last year? Yes, but I think they will be more prepared for Dobbs and Hurd. Here's to hoping the defense.plays with the same intensity as last week!

Cliche but true
Ky game is most important game of Jones career and this season. Win we likely win out, lose we likely lose again and go 6-6.

Also i was nervous last year and we creames them 50-16 or whatever. Dobbs was unstoppable. We shall see saturday night.

We are better, have better athletes but that don't always matter
