Two title fights and a heavyweight fight... nice card. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if both title fights are lopsided. After looking at Gustaffsson's resume again, I'm not all that impressed. He even got submitted my Phil Davis and Jones is much better. I guess we'll see... we'll also see someone getting knocked out in the Schaub/Mitrione fight :)

Excited for this card. Schaub and Mitrione has to end with a KO.

It's like the icing on the cake.

Jon Jones is quite possibly the greatest fighter in the UFC. Heck, to date...

He'd be the greatest fighter ever at the moment if not for one fighter. No, not Silva... Cain. I think Jones as of this moment is the best ever. He wiped out the top division in UFC and people forget that. It doesn't help that they all got injured, but still. Cain though.... dominating the heavyweights? No words for that. I can't wait to see a JDS rematch because I had originally thought they were on par. Now, I think Cain is superior... to everyone(in that division).

Cain and Jones.... It's like watching Calvin Johnson.... or Adrian Peterson. The game has evolved and these guys are the next level.

Cain is a beast. I probably mentioned this before, but a buddy of mine scored a point against him wrestling in college and tells everyone about it all the time, LOL.

Pretty excited for this card. I like Gustaffson so naturally Bones will kill him. I like Barao he should win. Hopefully Meathead takes off Schaubs head, I can't stand that guy. That one dudes last name is a problem. Lol

Dominating the heavyweight division? He's only beaten 3 of the top guys, Bigfoot and JDS (who he lost to), Big Nog (who at this stage is arguable). I do think Cain is the best hw but dominating the division is a little extreme. :)

HW is the hardest division to dominate, even if the talent pool is thin. Everybody has 1-punch KO power.

Jerry, what don't you like about Schaub? He seemed like a decent dude on TUF. Mitrione is the d-bag, but he obviously has emotional issues.

But he's not dominating it, he got ktfo 3 fights ago. Lol Jones is dominating the division.

I think Schaub comes across as an arrogant douche. Meathead was just playing the game on TUF, trying to mess with people. IMO

Keep in mind, Lesnar was "big s***" when Cain took the title from him. As much as I hated Lesnar, even I bought into it. He just seemed like the Jon Jones of the heavyweights. He was just physically superior to everyone. But as we saw, it was the steroids. Just like Overeem.

Guys like Lesnar and Overeem are freaks... until they have to get off the roids.

Maybe the heavyweight division isn't the deepest but that's still a tough division to go 12-1(10-1 in the UFC). Heavyweight is the hardest division to consistently win. It only takes one punch and it's over. Cain found that out against JDS and it only took 1 minute. He beat the piss out of JDS in the rematch. As superior as Cain looked in that fight, he's 1 punch away from losing. So if he wins again, the dude is just that good. - Watch him lose lol

I responded without seeing this post.

And I agree...

I also saw Jerry's response. 10-1 against UFC heavyweights is absolutely dominating. Plus, Cain was injured in his loss to JDS. A healthy Cain embarrassed him.

But he's not dominating it, he got ktfo 3 fights ago. Lol Jones is dominating the division.

Cain lost 1 fight though. In a division that's tougher to stay unbeaten.

If not for the fact that the heavyweight division is nothing impressive and Jones wiped out the top division, 10-1 in the heavyweight division would be more impressive to me than say 20-0 in the light heavyweight division. jmo.

Jones did wipe out the top division though and the heavyweight division hasn't been the most impressive. Regardless, it's the heavyweight division. Roy Nelson is a slob and he could beat a top fighter any given night. Assuming they stand and fight...

Heavyweight division is a different beast. The same reason I always thought Silva would get destroyed by Jones is the same reason I think Jones would get destroyed by a lot of fighters in the heavyweight division. Silva has the frame for light heavyweight and Jones has the frame for heavyweight. It's just a different story though... JDS and Cain would kill Jones if he was their next fight imo. He might be able to take down a fatty like Nelson but guys like that? I doubt it.

I never bought into Brock at all. I understand the one ko stuff. But he still hasn't fought all the top guys. Tough to go 12-1, but what are Cormier, Browne and JDS's records? Pretty similar. I'll reserve my judging of Cain till he really cleans out the division like a GSP or Jones.
