Actually, I tend to agree. A 7-5 team with a new offense? Sure, its POSSIBLE Florida could be very good. But I think the polls should reflect what people think is probable and Florida just has too many unknowns to be ranked in the top ten. I think somewhere in the 15 range is fair for now. Might go up, might go down. Just not reasonable to rank them that high with so many variables.

good post.....I am allvol but 2 could be high for us with a shaky secondary and tough road schedule.....both teams def r very talented tho.....

Well in my opinion although our secondary is sketchy............you gotta remeber the only time that should really hurt us is if they go 3 step drop. I think our front 7 will put an awful lot of pressure on the Qb which will do nothing but help. The only thing that kinda scares me is when Fla will be lined up in the shotgun alot.

Thanks. Its the truth and really how I feel objectively. Don't get me wrong -- Im a fan and will sing the Gators' praises 'till the cows come home. But in terms fo rankings, just can't see putting UF that high.

Preseason polls suck anyway. I don't think there should be any polls 'till at least a couple of weeks have been played..

Seriously though polls suck , ranked too high and a team might become overconfident, ranked too low and might get left behind for the big dance (see Auburn last yr)

Sure: here it is:

Sig: Move far away from God-forsaken Gainesville and never return

Dispense: One way ticket

Refills: As needed for Gator deserters after the Urban Flop

Oh, and DON'T call me in the morning!

I'm okay with Florida being top 10/15. They may have sucked recently, but who knows what Meyer could accomplish. He's got the talent to make it pretty far this year if he plays smart.

Auburn is way too high though. Tubberville is just not that good of a coach. I'll give him some credit for last season, but even terrible coaches wind up with a great season every now and then.

Hysterical. Great post. But for my medicine I'll just take wins over UT, FSU and Georgia, thankyou very much.

UF is too high...the Meyer hype has alot to do with it...while I think they'll improve, I still wouldn't have them in the top 18 or so til they prove otherwise.

We already knew it, my friend. As I say, who knows? I have always favored coming from behind (so to speak) and so I prefer to be arpund the ten spot. Gives us room to waive as we pass on by!!!
