rumor has it (according to the messageboards) they are having a NC like agent issue.

UCLA reportedly suspends six for Oregon game - Inside UCLA with Jon Gold
When are people going to realize Neuheisel is simply a bad coach? All the talk about UCLA capitalizing on USC's probation is some of the silliest stuff I've ever seen on here. SC will keep getting the best players in the region and the guys they can't take because of limitations will do what they've mostly done for years. Got to an Oklahoma/Texas/Ohio State or other name brand national program.
If Oregon manages to survive their schedule unscathed, I believe they'll reap the benefits of USC being under probation. Especially if the Trojans continue losing. Now I don't expect that to happen, but it's a possibility.
The media needs a new darling out west. Right now it's Oregon, and if they continue winning it'll remain that way. Which of course helps with recruiting amongst other things.
I am happy, but I generally dislike ESPN.
Why? I don't care what ESPN's agenda is or whether or not what they're doing is "sports journalism".
If it weren't for ESPN, there would be a lot less College Football, Basketball, NBA, FIBA, MLB, World Cup/Premier League, Little League World Series, etc, televised. I love ESPN. 24/7 sports are accesible. Take them away, and you take that away.
Um... that's their purpose. To televise and report sports. Which is exactly what they do.
Most people cry about ESPN because they see and hear other people doing it.
Let's see...their broadcasters are generally awful (Morgan, Miller, James, Musberger, Theismann, Kornheiser....I could go on and on), they make absolutely stupid shows such as PTI, Rome is Burning, and SportsNation, they can be incredibly biased, they televise poker, Erin Andrews is pretty overrated, they hire some "analysts" that are a complete joke (Kiper, Holtz, May, Howard)....I don't think it makes sense that they focus on off-the-field storylines more than analyzing matchups and games.
Maybe it's a personal preference, but all I use ESPN for is watching games and ESPN News (and SportsCenter with Neil Everett and Stan Verrett, because they are the best anchors by far that they employ.
So... you don't like ESPN because their analyst aren't to your liking? Mute the TV.
What's wrong with PTI? And I myself am not a fan of Jim Rome is Burning, however I don't dislike the company due to televising a show or two I dislike.
Whom or what are they biased towards?
So... Erin Andrews being overrated(Don't much get this, but whatever) makes you dislike the company?
How many more people are more qualified to talk football than Desmond Howard(Heisman winner), Mark May(An excellent lineman in his day. Incredibly well spoken), and Lou Holtz(Though biased, he knows football)?
Everybody uses ESPN for games and sportcenter/ESPN news
The EA comment was just a joke. Holtz doesn't know what he's talking about. I'd rather get my sports news from online sources. I guess that's what I'm saying.
ESPN does employ a top-notch Pac-10 blogger, I must say. Ted Miller is excellent.
