Coach Tyndall accepted the Ice bucket challenge from CBJ. Pics are on Tennessee Volunteer Football FB page. I don't know how to post a link from IPhone. Can someone post it?

Really like Donnie Knoxville and hope he does well here. He's earned his opportunity to coach at this level and wasn't just handed the keys to the car based on who his Daddy was like some other coaches have been. IF he fails, I guarantee it won't be for lack of effort and commitment for sure.

Love the fact that Butch got in on that one. Love it.

You know, I remember myself before the basketball hire saying that Butch and Bruce would have been a great PR team.

I think Butch and Donnie will be better.

That was great! I'm weak at Butch saying "he was soft as they come" lol.

Love this video! Both of these coaches are going to turn around both programs! Count on it! They are carbon copies of each other in two different sports and to think they grew up forty miles apart in Michigan. Danged if we don't owe Michigan for producing the coaches who will return Tennessee football and basketball to its rightful place in the SEC. And you know what? I don't think either of the coaches would consider for one minute taking their respective head coaching jobs at the University of Michigan. They are so appreciative of the chance that they have been given that they would never leave Tennessee on their own!

Butch definitely wouldn't leave on his own. Tyndall would I believe.

Agree. I think when Butch said he found a destination job, I don't think he was lying. I would like to believe this is a destination job for Tyndall but I can't say that with certainty.

Yeah, I would bolt for Michigan from UT given the chance. That is, until we pay elite salaries. That's exactly the reason we got Tyndall instead of Shaka, Marshall, etc. (not a knock on Tyndall, just illustrating my point).

BFFs. Here's another reason I think they will build their dynasties together. I am serious about this. I get the feeling that there will not be another school in the country where the head football and head basketball coaches' friendships matches theirs! Can you even name a school where that friendship makes the news? An in depth thought process pulls out little nuggets like this. I think the avatar says it best!

Never mind, it was 1.9. Wow we didn't even pay Pearl that much...

1. That was 4 years ago.
2. I don't think he got a new deal after the elite 8 run because the NCAA stuff came directly after that.
3. If Pearl had stayed here and never got in trouble and continued success he'd be making money right behind cal and billy d.
