Tyler Smith playing the 3

At the five:
Williams/Chism/Jurick/Negedu

At the 4:
Chism/Prince/Negedu/Childress(maybe)/Pearl/T. Smith
I think Prince could see some minutes there with his ball handling skills.

Does any of this sound unreasonable?

I highly doubt Prince any at all at the 4

As much as we've progressed we still don't have the athleticism to compete with the Carolina's, UCLA's, Memphis', just yet, but it's great to be into consideration.

I have no reason to believe that within 3 year's we'll have a Final Four appearance under our belts.

I wouldn't write us out of the final 4 picture looking at a horizon that distant.

Agreed.

I was in no way trying to diminish how our program has risen over the past 4 years. I just think that as much as we've grown, we've still yet to reach the Elite's and there's still more to gain out there.

But I believe that we're on our way to doing just that.

There's not a team in the nation we can't beat, believe that -hit

Huh? I thought we have beaten Memphis the last 2 years.

Yeah, we need some solid play at the point. We've had enough QB trouble for the year.

If Williams has continued to improve dramatically and gotten in some shape, we could be tough to deal with for anyone with PG play.

He's for sure thinned down even more.
I saw that, but he needed serious strength work. I'd like to think he improved there in a big way. He's not overly athletic, but with some strength, especially lower body, he could be ugly in the middle of our team.

He looked good in the RTL.

Against those defenses everyone did.

I think by the time conference time gets around he'll be built and ready to go. I wouldn't be surprised for a few struggles early on, but nothing leads me to believe he can't be adjusted to and ready to go by the start of conference play.

Take a look at what Cal's pulling in for the next 2 years recruiting classes.

I'm not saying we're bad, but we aren't as talented as Memphis at this present time.

We were not as talented as Memphis the last 2 years either. Florida and Texas out classed us a couple years ago also.

Not unreasonable at all. I just assumed if Williams was at the 5, Chism would be at the 4, and Negedu wouldn't be tall enough to play center. Childress, I thought, was injured. And again, I just assumed that Pearl wouldn't see any playing time. I would be excited to see a big lineup with Williams at center, Chism at PF, and T. Smith at SF. In any case, this will be an exciting squad.

In the RTL, he was able to rebound the ball and then slam it in the basket. I didn't see that from him at all last year. I don't think he could slam it flat footed last year. I was really impressed with how slim he was this summer. He will continue to get better every year. Remember, he's only been playing ball for a few years now.

Childress is injured that's why I put maybe. I'm sure he's done, but who knows we may see him sometime in Jan.

I think Chism could see some time at the 5 and 4 throughout a game.

Negedu is the same height as Crews, but with longer arms. I think he would have trouble at the 4 with his lack of offensive skills.

Pearl played 3 minutes a game last year. I would expect at least 3-5 minutes this year. If his name wasn't Pearl, then you would not even know he was even on this team.
