Tyler Perry Studios were in the news as he debuted new or renovated/expanded soundstages named for stars and celebrities, among them Will Smith and Oprah. It was a star studded gala affair, celebrities everywhere. The media took to calling it "Black Hollywood." The thing is, besides his own movies, others may be made at the studios, and not just by African American producers et al. In the 22-county area of North Georgia which is impacted by Atlanta, locals call it Tylertown and Perryville. It's located on the site of former Fort McPherson.
