Tyler Bray's record breaking potential

How much of a chance does Tyler Bray have to break Peyton's career TD record?

Fair enough. But in another thread, someone posted that we've had 14 second half potential game tying or lead taking possessions (including, but not limited to those "walk off" possessions), and have failed on every single one. That is not the fault of the defense.

That's probably right. Bray hasn't closed the deal so to speak this year.

My point is that the offense has scored more points than we've ever had this year. Bray just puts the points on the board early in the games. And the defense isn't helping very often as they rarely turn the ball over, rarely give us good field position, and never score on their own.

I really don't think Bray chokes, but it's more the constant pressure of having to score every time you touch the ball just to keep up with our opponents that wears him and the offense down. Bray is not to blame in the South Carolina game; however, because he drove us down to the 20 yard line when the O-Line finally let Clowney strip him. I think we score and win if he wasn't blind-sided.

Manning spent his off time studying the game and practicing. Bray practices with beer bottles. Peyton didn't have to throw it 40+ times a game.

You're correct, Manning averaged 32 passes a game for his career. Tyler Bray for his career is averaging 31 passes per game.

He'll come back. He'd be lucky to be a 5th round pick at this point

I have seen a couple mock drafts that have him in the 3rd round right now. I am sure that is based purely on arm talent. If he has a lights out stretch and a good bowl game if they make it to one, I could see him sneaking into the second round.

I guess it comes down to how he feels about finishing out college and what kind of grade he gets from scouts.

What chance do you give Tyler Bray to break Peyton Manning's career passing TD record of 89? He is currently at 55 with a probable 5 games left on the season. He is also very likely coming back next season.

You can not even put Bray and Peyton in the same sentence. What a joke. In SEC play Bray has 21 TDs and 20 INTs. So that means he has 35 TDs against lower division teams. Unreal.

Bray has beat NOBODY. NFL scouts see what he does against top SEC teams. He will be lucky to go in the 3rd or 4th round if he leaves after this year.

You just put them in the same sentence.
