Please Dooley, start Bray next game. Simms is not going to get it done. Bray is the future. Give him a chance; he has much, much more upside than Simms. I will be very disappointed if Dooley doesn't give Bray the nod next week.

Simms will start next week. This is '08 all over again, we have not yet seen rock bottom with our QB. But I agree, we need to just take our medicine, get Tyler Bray some experience and prepare for next year.

Bray is not ready mentally and physically. He will be ruined if we make him play against the heart of the SEC as an 18 year old.

Remember David Carr?

there's no way bray starts next week. keeping simms in the whole game should have told you something.

Starting Bray next game would be stupid. It would be 2008 all over again. Stick with Simms, he could be Crompton of yester year...it may take him half the season, but he will figure it out. It is the best we can hope for at this point.

I'll be disappointed if you continue posting.

If you want to sacrifice 3+ wins for a better prepared QB next year then sure. For me i would rather not hang myself before the holidays.

Sorry guys. Just disappointed as all you guys are. I'd be for letting Bray take his lumps and see what happens. I don't see any future with Simms at all. Hope all you guys have a good night.

This team has protection problems, receivers that don't help the QB when he is getting blitzed. QB is just one of many problems with this team.

I think starting Bray would be a huge mistake. I just do not think that you develop a quarterback by putting him in behind such a young line with the stretch of games we have facing us. He needs more development in practice, watching film, and in the weight room before he is ready to start. Throwing him in at this point may ruin him.

The back half of the season is alot easier. I have said that we need to start him then. Does anybody honestly believe Simms will start next year? Anyone?

Then why wait. Let Simms get us through the tought teams and let Bray learn against Vandy, Ole Miss, Kentucky etc.

Depending on Simms play at that point in the season, this may not be a terrible idea. No reason to throw Bray in there to face Florida, LSU, and Bama though.

Our squad is younger than young. It's week two and changing QB doesnt fix anything. Let's trust that the coaches know what's best for the team unless they prove otherwise.

I'll stick with what I said last week. I'm going to wait until after the UAB game before I make any definitive opinion. Tonight was his first ever start against a worthy opponent. But, we've got to be able to throw the ball down the field with at least a little bit of consistency. And there's this HUGE area of the field between the numbers that I'd like to see utilized quite a bit more in the passing game. With that said, I don't see a QB switch during the near future, and rightfully so. Give the guys we have on the field a chance to improve before you make any decisions like that. Give the guy a few games to see what he's really made of. If we see no improvement, then put Bray in later in the season and get him some experience. But it's still far too early to jump the gun like that.

absolutely, Simms starts next season.....no way Bray is better (or will be before Simms graduates)
