Tyler Bray reminds me of Peyton Manning. A true pocket passer who steps up to avoid a sack and with a cannon arm delivers a pin point strike with uncanny accuracy.

Justin Worley, after watching his highlights, reminds me more of Danny Wuerffel. I know what you're going to say, Danny Wuerffel wasn't a great QB. All Danny Wuerffel did was win games by somehow eluding the pass rush only to throw a deadly accurate pass where only a UF wideout could make the play. True he didn't have a killer arm, but the guy was a warrior and a winner, and we'll all be very happy if Justin turns out to be that good.

I've read on here where some people think Justin Worley will over take Tyler Bray as the starter this year.
IMO the coaches will red shirt Justin Worley, and only sacrifice that significant year of development if necessary. It's going to be hard to keep Tyler's accurate cannon on the bench as long as he's healthy IMO.

I think Tyler Bray has no shot of losing his spot to Worley. Not unless the coaches wanna start where the old coaches left off, with more QB controversy than you can shake a stick at.

I am very anxious to see Bray take on the heart of the SEC schedule next year. UNC exposed him alittle in the bowl game but Bray did make some amazing throws as well. I hope Worley is patient and knows his time is coming. I hope he take advantage of the situation and studies and works his butt off. This is a great problem to have.

Agree with the OP. Albeit Worley needs A LOT of work, but has A LOT of potential.

Worley's gonna start and Bray's gonna pull a Matt Cassell and still get drafted. jokes. Bray all the way.

Worley should redshirt. Bray is going to need a running game next year.

Good post.

I agree, we will need a good running game to compete in the SEC. I'm not sure we're going to be able to put a really dominant or even consistently good running game together by next year, but I do think Poole can dominate a game with good blocking up front. I don't think he can create running room by running over people, but if our line can give him creases to run in, he's a very elusive running back. Poole took a lot of criticism last year dancing around. IMO he was trying to create running room that wasn't there, he wasn't tip-toeing through open spaces.

I do think we can have a winning record and win a bowl a game with the passing attack we're going to have with Bray leading the way. The difference between us being a good team and being a really good team will be our running game IMO.

Anyone that thinks Worley will come in and start over Bray is a little off their rocker. I do not understand the hate Bray gets on here. He celebrates a lot, so what? He is one of the most talented QBs Tennessee has ever had. Give the guy a break and get behind him for the next 2, hopefully 3, years.

Bray reminds me of a skinny Brett Favre.

Me too. A gunslinger who just wings it into triple coverage and comes out with some amazing throws.

I've watched the highlight tapes, and Brays games in his first season of course. Both Qbs are going to be good here. Worley's got great pocket presence and accuracy, much more like Peyton IMO.

Bray will start next year and be amazing...no question. Worley said a few months ago that he didn't mind redshirting. Hopefully we will have Tyler through his Senior season and then have two solid years of Worley

I don't think there's any way this offense won't imrpove next year. We should be as good or better on every front. Our running game should be greatly improved and our passing attack really shouldn't take much of a hit. It hurts losing Dmo and Gjones and especially stocker but we've all seen what justin can do and people seem to ignore the things the DaFreak can do just becasue he didn't have as many targets last year. They'll both be really good. Also, I think I like rivera a lot more than most people. I'll think he'll be an above average SEC tight end next year and if we manage to bring in Fulse or if Clear is as good as he thinks he is at tight end, then we should have no problems. The only place on our entire team where I think we might take a step back is the linebacking corp, and that's becasue of a lack of experienced depth. And I guess Palardy is also a question mark, but I have faith in him.

I'm pulling for Worley to win the job over goofy.

People like you are the reason we have problems in Tennessee sports. Dooley did a good job building up Bray put him in at the right time and now your already upset with him. GTFO, Bray has got the right attitude and loves to win. Every now and then a team needs a QB with some swagger and we've got one. (not the rap kind of swagger the football QB type lol)

I agree. We'll always compare everyone to Peyton, because well he was the best, and he was a choir boy. He could have run and become governor in '98 because in the eyes of the people he had no faults. Bray is not this guy. He's cocky and I for one love it. JMO

I agree. He gets into it and loves the game. With time if he has people behind him he might not need that cocky attitude but now the way I look at it, he's young, cocky, prob a little arrogant, and prob wants this program to turn into what its supposed to be more than just about anyone. Thats why he came here after all.... I mean think about this Crompton got drafted. Maybe if he hadn't been through so many coaching changes and been pulled so much he would of developed out of his awful demeanor quicker.

I will say I like Worley's release motion better than Bray's. He might not have as strong as arm as Tyler but it looks plenty strong to make all the throws.

Nobody is knocking Bray off his throne...The kid is only gonna get better and better...Worley already said he has no problem being redshirted....Team player right there...He'll wait until it's his time and take over for Bray when his stellar UT career is over...Nice to have the National Player of the year in waiting for the QB job that's for sure!
