I'd rather get Davis than someone who would possibly stay for 15 years.



so what you're saying is you'd rather have short term success, say, for maybe 5-6 years with butch davis rather than bring someone in who could build a program that lasts twice as long? butch davis isn't the answer. he's not an urban meyer, or a nick saban, or a mark richt. sure he's winning at UNC, but thats not all that impressive. especially because of the decline of that conference over the past few years...61-30 all time, but 10-10 since taking over at UNC....not that exciting

Guys get complacent afterwhile. I believe thats all he meant.
