No one said he needed to. But if you are going to pull out a gadget play it would more than likely go through Bey. Kind of like Jennings throwing a TD in the Super Bowl. Hes a wide receiver, that throws the ball better than all the other wide receivers.

He throws lollipopsā€¦ in high school. They would look even worse here.

He is an incredibly dynamic football player with the ball in his hands. No one should be interested in seeing him try to deliver the ball into someone elseā€™s hands.

And no one wanted to see Peyton manning running the football, but the naked boot worked really well for him.

Jennings threw a touchdown pass against Florida. Jennings threw a touchdown pass in the superbowl. He was a high school qb but wasnt good enough to throw after. But it still works when the other team isnt expecting it.

I tried to highlight that point with how even Peyton could run. You dont have to be great but if you have the ability to do it, it can work when mixed it. Trying to really drive home the point because you seem to think im advocating for him to throw multiple times a game.

Yea itā€™s not working. Iā€™m not convinced, at all.

I want the ball in Beyā€™s hands.

But by all means keep daydreaming about ways to remove the ball from his hands. Sounds like pure genius.

Thats cool and all, but if you had the choice to have Jennings be a QB vs a WR thats a no brainer. If you havent noticed, Josh Heupel doesnt really run trick plays.

Last non QB to throw a pass was a 66 yard TD pass by Fant in 2022. Im talking about the potiental of a handful of play calls over a players 5 years in college. Theres already been more post about than potiental pass attempts in Beys career at Tennessee haha

What if Faizon Brandon comes in and takes the job as a true freshman? (Entirely possible)
GMAC is too good to sit.

We get the Adamā€™s kid from Nashville but we canā€™t get a transfer QB to be a 3rd QB because Faizon is only a freshman.

This kid had a scholarship offer to play QB at Duke. You can look at his tape and see he has throwing talent.

So let him play WR, but give him some snaps at QB in practice. Hed be the defacto 3rd QB and you wouldnā€™t be scrambling to try and convince a QB to come an be a future coachā€¦

Back in the day, a (heretofore missing and presumed alien abducted) poster started a thread advocating playing Jalen Hurd at QBā€¦just needed to ā€œteach him to throwā€. šŸ˜ Since then, others wanted to take DOBBS out of goalline situations and place Evan Berry at QB cuz ā€œHe run real good!ā€ Quality of our resident position flippers has slipped since those halcyon days cept when Little hoards his ADHD scripts.
