'26 TX WR Legend Bey (Tennessee commit)

What is wrong with me believing he will. That's what I believe. Thanks. In CHRIST Alone
Nothing. Believing is what you said in your second post in reply to mine.
I think or I believe he could is expressing your opinion,
“He will “ is stating as if it is fact.

I have seen so many statements like that from so many on here about a recruit that hasn’t even suited up that I just roll my eyes every time I read one.

I’m still waiting for the Hiesman trophies for Nico, Nathan Leacock , Cam Seldom, etc, etc , etc to arrive.

I’m still waiting for the excitement level of Mike Mathews, Braylon Staley, and Boo Carter’s results on the field to match or even get close to their recruit level excitement.
At least with them it’s still a possibility.

Not singling you out at all , like I said there’s many on here that get carried away with their hype, but let’s see em on the field before we anoint them the next Jaylen Hyatt.

I'm thinking a Velus Jones-type Slot WR who can crush those WR screens while also perhaps being used creatively out of the backfield (imagine a guy like him taking that middle RB screen we threw to Bishop)...
Yes, I like this a lot!!

Was trying to figure how we could get both King and Bey on the field without one sitting behind the other. Both slots by services, right?

Figured Bey would be a better fit in the backfield if they decide to go that route.

Whoever said Bey at RB….I like your idea
That was me for sure. Maybe somebody else too.

Crazy thing, this dude has legit QB skills. He’s not just the best ATH so they put him at QB so the ball is always in his hands - kind of thing.

He can run Tennessees offense. He’s intelligent.
Can you imagine a Lamar Jackson type QB in our new offense?

We have to do everything we can to make this 5’10” 185 lbs kid happy. He’s probably a lockdown CB if he ever decides to play that.

He just as that “aura” and playmaker aesthetic that all the great players have. And runs a 10.1 100 meter . 4.23 - 40 speed…
Ridiculous

Damn, high praise, especially from you. We have our QB for the future in Faizon, tho. Still, you kinda have me excited. Monumental WR class, incoming

Not to be argumentative, but his PR is 10.23, which is still flying for a high school kid.

The 10.18 happened in his training.
The 10.23 is indeed his personal record in competition.

And he’s laterally quick too.

Alphnoso Smith played CB/ PR for Wake Forrest. Back when they had Willie Idellete from McCallie irrc. Wake made it to the BCS games one year with those guys with Chris Barclay from Male HS at RB. That’s who this guys reminds me off. Played in the NFL for the Denver Broncos.

Except he’s a faster version of him.

I think it’s good to keep as many tools in the tool box as you can get.

I always wished Heupel recruited a guy that will play another position in college but still played QB at high level in HS. Just to have that change up if you needed it.

God forbid GMAC and Merk leave and Faizon is the 1 of 2 QBs and then some walk-ons. In that situation it would be crucial to have a guy like Bey.

He's not running a 4.23 or at least I don't believe it until he gets more officially timed instead of these bad high school official times.

Actually when it’s slowed down some you can appreciate some of his dynamic footwork. You see it.

He’s so fast you miss it in real time a little bit.

While I agree, I just didn't think someone with his skill set needs fantasy camera work to make it look better. I want to see the ankle breaking at full speed.

The track times are legit. The 10.23 was at a competition.

I’m purely speculating about the 4.23. He gets up to top speed so quickly I assumed it was a ridiculous time such as that.

Here’s all the highlights of him against Dallas Skyline:

Willie III really ruined his life when he got in trouble as a teacher/coach. FWIW he actually played at Baylor.

His dad (Willie jr) was a phenomenal basketball player on those great Notre Dame HS teams of 76-77. Guy was maybe 5’10 ( but 6’3 with his afro), and I’ve never personally seen anyone that could jump so high. In 1977 ( the year dunking was legalized at the HS level) there were several times he had to duck from gashing his forehead on the rim. Tough as nails.
