TX QB Kaidon Salter (Liberty signee)

For reference harrison bailey threw for ~4,600 yards and 50 touchdowns with about a 70% completion percentage. Puts him top 100 all time in single season passing yardage nationally. Still salty that he ended up a 4 star on 247.
Yeahh, some were saying maybe they had already seen his potential and he was fully developed. Lmao then he goes out and improves significantly in every way his SR year. Terrible.

Btw, check Salter's JR stats vs HB's JR stats. If KS makes a similar jump, it will be ridiculous.

HB JR Stats
8.4 YPA
7.2 total YPP
TD every 11.6 plays
4.8 passing TDs/INT

HB SR Stats
11.3 YPA
10.0 total YPP
TD every 8.9 plays
5.0 passing TDs/INT

Salter JR Stats
10.4 ypa
9.2 total ypp
TD every 9.1 plays
4.7 passing TDs/INT

Still a 3* on rivals. 60th best in Texas according to them
Fwiw I think they only did a top 250 rerank. Everyone else could/will still be reranked at some point and there are some 4*s outside the top 250. It would be a travesty for him to stay where he is.

They said they only "evaluated" 20% of this year's class before the pandemic put a stop to everything

Sam Spiegelman showed up on VQ to share his thoughts...
Stopping by to show the new 5.7 rating for Cedar Hill (Texas) QB Kaidon Salter, who committed to the Vols on Sunday.

Salter's ranking has been in line for a boost for weeks, but we made it based on multiple film studies and the early portion of the 7v7 series this spring

Salter is now a high 3-star and among the top dual-threats nationally. We raved about his big arm, big-play ability and athleticism in his commitment analysis over the weekend

See it here: Rivals.com - Tennessee stays red hot on the trail, landing Texas QB Kaidon Salter

Salter is on the cusp of a fourth star, but we were unwilling to bump him without new film. He will have a chance to rise during the fall and likely an in-person evaluation. Salter has to show the ability to make more throws besides the long ball. He made tremendous strides from his sophomore to junior years and certainly is a contender for the fourth star. But we won't make that call until the season
