The way Pruitt is handing out offers to players categorized as ATH reminds me of building my teams on NCAA FB. Recruit and sign athletes, then move them around to find their best position when you get them on campus. A player may have been able to play WR, RB, CB, FS, or SS. I got most of my best players that way early in Dynasty mode.
