It isn’t just you, it’s likely your generation, most of the older (>30) folks are accustomed to social media being Facebook where you see family photos, and typically know those you connect with, Twitter is more of a personal news broadcasting platform. Not quite as personal than the traditional social media.

I agree. I’m older than thirty and hate all social media. Stay off my lawn kinda hate. But I get that I that way and I’m cool with it.
