Some guys over on Basilio's website are tweeting as if the Shannon hire is official.

Am i missing something?

You must have missed the presser. LOL....but no really the announcement will come today or Monday. I still think it's going to be Monday. No sources...just putting all the pieces together.

I think what he's saying is yes, he has accepted the position/signed contracts/ect. No, it hasn't been made public and won't be until probably Monday. Done deal doesn't always have to be a public announcement.

Nope. I've seen about 800 other posters claiming to know one way or the other.....maybe he was one of them, maybe he wasn't.

There was one guy who was saying that his buddy was coming over with a bottle of Old Granddad, or something, and had some info.

Was that Doc?

I love the strategy of reporting where you unleash every rumor as a done deal, then when a rumor actually ends up being right (<10% of the time), you act like Nostradamus.

The only thing that I know for sure about this deal is that Tony B. did not break this story first. Swain was pretty early on Shannon. Also Docvol has been saying this for some time also. Hell give stopit more cred than Tony.

Last info I got was late last night and I posted it in another thread (not sure which). Initially they wanted to wait until Monday to announce it but that looks like it may be moved up to today (Friday) as more and more outlets are reporting it.

Dooley and Hart ran a tight and silent process (with the media for the most part), but now that it is unofficially official, these media outlets are reporting it (probably after reading VN to be honest with you). But the AD has not issued an official word. That doesn't change the fact that it's a done deal.

If nothing is given out by the AD/Dooley today then it will be Monday.
