Tv viewing question direct tv/whatever network

my dad has warned me about comcast changing the tv channels of a game near the end. Now i have direct tv and dvr. Ive added extra time for live broadcasr but how do u know what channel the game might switch to so you can dvr that extra channel as well?

I think that's an ESPN type decision. For instance, if there is a weather delay like last year's BDSU game whatever channel ESPN was showing it on switched as to not interfere with their primetime game.

I don't think there's any way to know. Just DVR it from the replay. SECN will show 10 times over the next week.

With SEC Network, the game should be on there for its entirety.

Also, being that this is a Thursday night game, I don't think that will be a problem.

Yep, no more games for today on SECN so no worries.

But for future refernece, if I remember correctly, if the game runs over they start the next game on the alternative channel instead of moving the one that is in progress.

Yeah not worried about this one just wanted to learn what i can before it matters. Sounds like we cant really do much about it

Like others have said, ESPN decides which channel to move it to, then its a mad scramble to find it in the guide. That is one of the reasons I like streaming it on the Roku ESPN app. The only way I know they switched channels is because the announcers mention it, otherwise its seamless.

It's a game time decision, no good way to predict unfortunately.
