The problem with that is that if you live outside the Tennessee area, in the event of overlapping games you are at the mercy of whatever game SECN is showing in your area.

True. With Raycom, the games used to be available on yahoo, but from what I can gather so far, the SECN game will likely (but not assuredly) be only one game per week.

What are your thoughts on how long it will be until we can find out whether Gameplan will be providing these games? I just dont want to be left out come Sept 5thanks :) thanks

The affiliate list for the southeast is currently available here, and I'd imagine that over the next several weeks, it will be announced within the next 3-4 weeks...

I also found this:
The "SEC Network" -ESPN's Regional Television's over-the-air syndication network that replaces Raycom - will span not only all nine states in the SEC footprint, but is slated to be shown in Big 12 (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio), Big Ten (Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, Ohio, Indianpolis) and Big East (Pittsburgh and New York) markets as well as Los Angeles. It will be shown in Atlanta on Peachtree TV.

Sorry to dig up the old post... but the SEC and ESPN+ aren't really doing anything in terms of updating their affiliate lists for whatever reason.

The season is now close enough where you can find the affiliates on the guides or even online.

In Los Angeles, the SEC Network Affiliate games will be shown on KDOC 56 (SD only, no HD, which will probably be the case for most out of market SECn games).

Anyway, good luck to everyone.

Go Vols! Football Season! WOOO!

While ordering Gameplan would be better in terms of clarity and everything, if money is an issue, I'd find out if your internet provider is one of the many which now offer ESPN360.com for free if you are one of their customers. AT&T, Verizon and soon Comcast all do. I was able to watch most UT games that weren't on TV in Ohio on there. College Football is really the best use of ESPN360, as seemingly nearly every game that is televised somewhere is carried by them online.

I'm so glad to hear this. My internet provider just started offering ESPN360 for free. I'm pumped!!!

I tried to find the UT/WKU game on ESPN360 and could not find it. It only shows 3 days in advance. Wish there was a way to find out if it will be on there.

It's there on ESPN360.

Click on "Channels" then "Football" then select "NCAAF" then "All" (for time period)

WKU vs Tenn is listed.

I agree with FB above. ESPN360 is the way to go, not ESPN gameplan. I'm planning to plug my laptop in the side of my TV. Just gotta remember to turn off the screensaver.

My experience with ESPN 360 has been mediocre. It's fine for watching the end of games that you otherwise wouldn't care about, but I think it would be putrid to sit in front of for three hours to watch a Tennessee game. When I've tried it it, it's been laggy, sometimes pixellated, and sometimes delayed even behind the gamecast on ESPN.com.

Man up. Get Gameplan.

pretty sure the only way to get 360 is if your internet provider has it. Gameplan is much better viewing but 360 works in a pinch. It's great for bball season

Help me out on something. On ESPN360 am I able to get all of the Tenn games (or at least the ones that aren't televised on CBS or ESPN)? Is that true of Gameplan? I was under the impression that on 360 I would get all of Tenn games, but on Gameplan I might miss out on some.

My experience has been that -- if you're out of the state of Tennessee -- Gameplan brings you every game that isn't available nationally. I.e., if it's not on CBS or one of the ESPN networks, Gameplan has it. That has been true of all the Jefferson Pilot/Raycom games and all of the pay-per-view games. I would assume that ESPN getting the SEC contract would only make it more certain that all the games are available through Gameplan.

The only game that hasn't been available at my house since I started getting Gameplan five or six years ago was one a couple of years ago that wasn't televised at all -- no pay-per-view, no nothing. Which almost certainly means that it wouldn't have been on ESPN360 either.
