I don't think we. have to worry about it. We know what Pat did when her time came, I expect the same for Kim.

But I gather you are male and have no personal knowledge of how important it is to most women that the doctor they've been seeing throughout the pregnancy, the one who knows their complete history and has a personal, trusting relationship with her, be the one present for the birthing process.

I did read a while back that they would be traveling with a doctor, and that's good news. But I would still have to think any woman would prefer to be in a familiar place for that traumatic experience.

This info may be out of date or only apply to some women, but I was always under the impression that flying late in term was not encouraged. I have a good friend who missed out on an international conference with me because she was pregnant with her beautiful daughter and the doctor did not recommend travel by plane.
