Tuttle surging back into rotation

It is going to be fun seeing a stout D line with people to rotate and not skip a beat.

How many times can they say heavy handed in an interview? Can't say I've heard the term more than 2 times but they managed to say it at least 3 times.

Don't you think you're being a bit heavy-handed with the criticism? A heavy-handed article about Shy's heavy-handedness, is hardly a reason for you to come down so heavy-handed...right?

If Kahlil can't perform like a 5 star this year, then it's good news that Shy is on his way back.

Cause he definitely played like a 5 star last year in his limited time.

As a so-called 5 star poster I'm looking for better performance this season. You need to get back to the film room and step it up.

well all i know is i am very happy to see shy back.... at the same time i see some of these post almost like they are from people who liked one more than the other last year... i am a VOLUNTEER fan.. i like all my boys the same and want all of them to become or live up to a 5* rating!! go VOLS.. few more days till it's football time in Tennessee! I really think with Shy coming back this early that we will have one of the most dominate d-lines in the country. I think with the Shoop addition and our talent everywhere else that our defence will absolutely dominate games. I have always heard that defence wins championships. That is what i think is going to happen this year. I think we will win the NC. Go Vols

Have to hand it to you, while you may have gone a bit heavy on the phrase, you delivered. And for that I give you...

Heavy's hands.

DT used to be a weakness, but now we have these guys who are true DT's and some hybrid DE/DT's.

1.O'Brien
2. Vickers
3. Tuttle
4. Mckenzie
5. Picou
6. Butcher
7. Phillips
8. Kongbo
9. Johnson

We can go about 9 deep at DT/Nose, and that is pretty incredible when you think about it. I may be missing 1 or 2 as well.

A less-than-astute attitude on the Kahlil freshman year situation, imo. Low blow, but carry on as you must.

Good news. I wouldn't play him much against App State just because we should be fine without him, but I would give him some reps. Hopefully he's ready to go for VT

see...i would. i'd try to get him and Alexis as many game reps as possible, especially if we get up big, early.

i'd rather get them both in and get game reps in a game like that, than "save" them for bigger games.

gotta get the rust off, and nothing helps get folks back in to game shape than playing in games.....
