In the second half with around 10 or 12 minutes to go, we get the game tied. Insert McBee. Result: three consecutive open threes due to his ineptness at the defensive end. I'm sure he's a good kid, but he needs to see no minutes.
Otherwise, are you telling me that Jordan McRae can't play defense or shoot, either? At least we'd get a promising freshman who can offer a lot more than McBee. It just aggravates me that we have two and half more years of this crap. He's the Stephen Garcia of UT b-ball, a mediocre player who takes 15 years to go through the system.
But, you are forgetting his deadly range! Oh wait, McBee? Nevermind.
Seriously, I knew this kid was a bad idea when all the yokels got on their "well, a local kid will play better because he has pride for Tennessee" BS. Pearl succombed to the pressure and idiodically gave him a free ride for three years, then keeps playing him.

McRae couldn't possibly be worse defensively than McBee. And, if he can just not turn the ball over, he'd already be an improvement over McBee offensively.
