isn't it like the simulated grass turf stuff they have over on the intramural fields at t-recs? i would think it would make play a tad bit faster...but maybe not much...I expect foster to have a moster game with dorsey banged up:rock:

It is the same turf that Tennessee has in their indoor practice facility, so they should be used to it.

Its just that indoor grassy turf. Most players still wear their normal outdoor cleats on it as well. Cant wait till the game. I wish TN would do something "gimmicky" everyone up (ie different color uniforms, or something like Richt did to fire up his team early)

I've got a great idea for something "gimmicky": why don't we come out aggressively and take the lead and then continue to play aggressively the WHOLE game and win going away instead of trying not to lose!:dance2:

THAT would make too much sense...and we don't play that way...

playing aggressively after you have the lead is totally up to the play callers. you know as well as i do that fulmer always calls the dogs off after he gets up on an apponant. that part of the game is in his hands.

i dont think we are gonna have the luxury of "calling off the dogs" in this game.

How bout' callin' off the Cats'....?

We have seen some offensive things in the past few games....that is not typical of past yrs.
ie...throws down the field... first play of GA and KY game.

Maybe....just Maybe...there will be anew' (my attempt at cajun) bag of tricks....! Plus, Foster poundin' their coonaz'...!

Go Vols.....!

I don't know if the new one in the Phoenix suburbs has a retractable roof or not, but they actually grow their grass outside, just wheeling the grass outside on a platform. Maybe he thought that was the setup at the Georgia Dome, GAVol?

The fact that it's got a big roof on it is sort of a hint.

That system is trick, however it is the only one like it in the country.

It does have a retractable roof. The other reason for the roll out field was to be able to host other events (like motocross races) in there without doing anything special. I watched that sucker go up (and sold most of the plumbing in there :)) and it is a really great place.

That's true. There are a lot of retractable roof stadiums out there now. The Georgia Dome is one of the previous generation of domes that has a permanent roof . . . which has never made sense to me since it's in Atlanta, GA where the rainfall is average, it rarely snows and the daytime highs probably fall below the 50s only about 10-20 days a year.
