Drop back pocket passer
Dual threat
Option/ Wildcat

The point purely to but Berry ar QB for a few snaps is because he one of the true breakaway threats in the SEC. Use your weapons. Hes a td waiting to happen.

Not to mention it takes a few hits off,Dobbs over the game and season.

Berry's not any of those 3. No qualms about him taking direct snaps out of formation...very sure hands. Don't even want the HINT of him pitching the ball. And after 3 seasons, we need to stop fretting about Dobbs durability.

Yes sir! This is the best that I have seen our QB's look in the Jones era. Dobbs has really refined his passing skills. Very impressive.

Berry is a weapon. Darren McFadden wasn't a true QB either was he?

Yeah Dobbs for sure is tough and dangerous as a runner. But Berry is a special runner. He needs to touch the ball 5 times a game at least... even with all of our other weapons.

Not sure why you would take one of the best running quarterbacks who can audible and read defenses out to bring in a guy that can't and is ONLY a running threat. How would that help us?

It just gets another playmaker a few touches, and takes also takes a few hits away from Dobbs as another mentioned. Remember what Cordarelle Patterson was able to do when we lined him up in the backfield a few times?

Ditto. Someone proposed this last year with Jennings as the wildcat. My take was why limit the offense? Response was that Jennings had an "extra gear".

Well, Jennings did start out here as a QB

I liked reading about under center snaps...just for short yardage or change of pace like we saw in the bowl game, but never thought that would excite me. Did a little.

I think Evan Berry can be used in a manner similar to the way Urban used Percy Harvin at UF. Couple of hundred yards receiving along with couple of hundred yards rushing from a slot position motion into a running back position on some plays.

IMO, they are getting Warrior and BB all the reps with the ones possible. Still would not be at all surprised to see it pan out like this to open App State. Berry is back this week.

I agree with letting him touch the ball 5 times on offense but if you put him in as a wildcat QB the defense will just pack 8 in the box.
