What's mind boggling is that some people understand this and they use this knowledge to shun the good ideas/principles in favor of the salesman.

It's not like the free market all. Rand Paul is telling you what you can't have and Trump and Hillary are making (mostly empty) promises about what you can have. It's not really about sales, it's about spoils.

It doesn't matter how much better Amash packages the message, he's not winning POTUS either.
