Trump ending overtime pay

There are companies in the US that run off a 40 hour work week. If any extra hours are needed it’s mostly decide be seniority. If nobody volunteers then the lowest senior employee is required to work. If they don’t show up, refuse or call out then the employee is punished by either a point system or other means. Once the employee reaches a certain point they are terminated. It is forced labor.

Trump needs to end overtime taxes and any forced labor in the US. This will also force companies to hire more people.
That and if you are a salaried employee (do not do it healthcare, trust me), they will work the dog poop out of you and you don’t get compensated at all for anything over 40.. I once broke it down as a salaried hospice nurse to what it would have been per hour…and I might as well have worked at the Dollar Tree and had better hours lol

You should have a nice retirement with those kind of 401Ks.
When I actually prepared returns for people I would ocassionally say,"I love to hear people complain about making too much money".
I made most of my lifetime income in the 80s working as a tax consultant for manufacturing companies for contingent fees. In the first half of that decade the top rate was 50%. It dropped to 38.5% in 1987. I had several companies that I worked for in 86 wait until 87 to pay me. It meant about $50,000 in additional income. That was the benefit of being self employed.
But yeah, some companies take advantage of their salaried employees.
