I don't know how we get 'to just put him away' without a trial.Technically no, but the verdict is already in. Means, motive and opportunity are not working in his favor. Speedy trial of which I see no defense to cast reasonable doubt on his actions.
Attempts on Trump have seen two amateurs take the stage and a whole lot of security issues.

sure that is what the trial is for and denial always stands a chance, but in this case? Claiming you got the wrong guy after admitting to your intent is a great mental defense case. In essence, he confirmed that he is not mentally stable.I don't care if you have me on video close up with the smoking gun, I'll still claim you got the wrong guy

Now maybe he is wanting his defense replaced because they don't wanna plead guilty. But that would be the best thing to accomplish what you want. Dude should plead guilty and then they can continue with his psyche evals in jail.
Bottom line if you can get a 200 yd shot off from a easily seen roof top position. There is more than a lack of sharing information. There was a major on site communications problem as well.So by not sharing they actively encouraged it by non intervention ...
From the article:
Senior-level Secret Service officials failed to share “classified threat information” related to President Trump with those assigned to protect him during the Pennsylvania campaign rally where he was nearly assassinated, according to a congressional watchdog report. \
The Government Accountability Office (GAO) found the classified intelligence had been presented to Secret Service officials a full 10 days before the July 13, 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, but the agency’s “siloed practice for sharing” sensitive information resulted in few being aware of the threat against Trump’s life.

Facts. The boldened in particular is the base premise for people that want to believe something and aren't interested in countervailing evidence. (In fairness to VL it's part of human nature to somewhat be that way and something we all need to resist in our own biases. Now having said that some people are much more willing to give in to that urge than others.)I know this won't mean anything to you but the MOA for that gun, and the ammo used, puts the grouping at that range where the margin of error is Trump is dead probably 5 times out of 10. just because you don't understand the reasons behind something doesn't mean there are no reasonable reasons behind the explanation.
So by not sharing they actively encouraged it by non intervention ...

Was this the Iran-thing? The shooter seemed like a off his meds lone wolf type, not something that would be in a classified intelligence briefing.
