There are no perfect presidents. Trump, like any other, is responsible for things you agree with and things you disagree with. Which notables from the list ( List of accomplishments from White House website is below ) or from you own memory do you like, dislike, find laughable, etc?
  • Almost 4 million jobs created since election.
  • More Americans are now employed than ever recorded before in our history.

  • Economic growth last quarter hit 4.2 percent.
  • New unemployment claims recently hit a 49-year low.
  • Median household income has hit highest level ever recorded.
  • African-American unemployment has recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded.
  • Hispanic-American unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded.
  • Asian-American unemployment recently achieved the lowest rate ever recorded.
  • Women’s unemployment recently reached the lowest rate in 65 years.
  • Youth unemployment has recently hit the lowest rate in nearly half a century.
  • Lowest unemployment rate ever recorded for Americans without a high school diploma.

  • Almost 3.9 million Americans have been lifted off food stamps since the election.
  • The Pledge to America’s Workers has resulted in employers committing to train more than 4 million Americans. We are committed to VOCATIONAL education.
  • 95 percent of U.S. manufacturers are optimistic about the future—the highest ever.
  • Retail sales surged last month, up another 6 percent over last year.
  • Signed the biggest package of tax cuts and reforms in history. After tax cuts, over $300 billion poured back in to the U.S. in the first quarter alone.
  • As a result of our tax bill, small businesses will have the lowest top marginal tax rate in more than 80 years.
  • Helped win U.S. bid for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

  • Opened ANWR and approved Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipelines.
  • Record number of regulations eliminated.
  • Enacted regulatory relief for community banks and credit unions.
  • Obamacare individual mandate penalty GONE.
  • My Administration is providing more affordable healthcare options for Americans through association health plans and short-term duration plans.
  • Last month, the FDA approved more affordable generic drugs than ever before in history. And thanks to our efforts, many drug companies are freezing or reversing planned price increases.
  • We reformed the Medicare program to stop hospitals from overcharging low-income seniors on their drugs—saving seniors hundreds of millions of dollars this year alone.
  • Signed Right-To-Try legislation.
  • Secured $6 billion in NEW funding to fight the opioid epidemic.
  • We have reduced high-dose opioid prescriptions by 16 percent during my first year in office.
  • Signed VA Choice Act and VA Accountability Act, expanded VA telehealth services, walk-in-clinics, and same-day urgent primary and mental health care.
  • Increased our coal exports by 60 percent; U.S. oil production recently reached all-time high.
  • United States is a net natural gas exporter for the first time since 1957.
  • Withdrew the United States from the job-killing Paris Climate Accord.
  • Cancelled the illegal, anti-coal, so-called Clean Power Plan.

  • Confirmed more circuit court judges than any other new administration.
  • Confirmed Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch and nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
  • Withdrew from the horrible, one-sided Iran Deal.
  • Moved U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem.
  • Protecting Americans from terrorists with the Travel Ban, upheld by Supreme Court.
  • Issued Executive Order to keep open Guantanamo Bay.
  • Concluded a historic U.S.-Mexico Trade Deal to replace NAFTA. And negotiations with Canada are underway as we speak.
  • Reached a breakthrough agreement with the E.U. to increase U.S. exports.
  • Imposed tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum to protect our national security.
  • Imposed tariffs on China in response to China’s forced technology transfer, intellectual property theft, and their chronically abusive trade practices.
  • Net exports are on track to increase by $59 billion this year.
  • Improved vetting and screening for refugees, and switched focus to overseas resettlement.
  • We have begun BUILDING THE WALL. Republicans want STRONG BORDERS and NO CRIME. Democrats want OPEN BORDERS which equals MASSIVE CRIME.

I think the economy good news is not really because of Trump...so those claims i find laughable.

Disagree with tariffs.

Like the generic drug approval.

It happened on his watch so he gets a good deal of credit on it.

I think the ultimate word on the tariffs will be issued in hindsight. If he achieves what he’s aiming for they will be hailed as effective. If he doesn’t close out the trade deals he’s after they will be lambasted.

Yes on the generic drug approval as well as the right to try.

won't nitpick the economy and credit due.

I really like the right to try, too.

A lot of these are bad. A lot of these are things that just happened under Trump and they are not his accomplishments (for example, unemployment was already trending this way), or they are stupid (Olympic bid? LOL), or they are deceptive (like his fake tax cuts. He cut income taxes and raised taxes elsewhere, so he doesn't get credit for that). The only good things he gets full credit for are in bold. I put stuff in blue if I don't know enough to speak on it.

I’ll skip out on all the obvious points of contention for now and say that if any president deserves credit for the USA landing the 2026 World Cup (and I don’t really think any President does), it’s Obama, not Trump.

Those Association and Short duration health plans got no coverage whatsoever. I wondered about them just as you did. Would be interesting to get some details as to what those are all about.

Any things on the list you like?

  • Shoots within 3 strokes of his handicap more than half of his 18 hole rounds now.
  • Has replaced extra crispy with original recipe.
  • Averaging only 1 syntax error per tweet since taking office, was at 3 during the campaign.
  • Has managed to be interviewed multiple times by every hot blonde on the Fox News channel.
  • Has become bff's with not one but two authoritarian rulers.

Yes, though for at least a few of the things I do like, we would probably disagree on how much credit Trump deserves. Of course, there are some things I absolutely hate, as you might expect, as well as some things I don’t think are all that significant.

They sound good, but a lot of bad stuff sounds good....like bragging about coal exports. Manipulating the market to produce more of a pollutant is not a good thing. Now if he were boasting about a shift toward nuclear energy, I'd be on board.

Disagree with tariffs.

Like the generic drug approval.

Actually I like the tariffs even though I am against them..... it shows me something when a president is willing do something that the majority of both sides are against to reach whatever goal he has that he wants to reach.

I do expect it. Only the most partisan among use would find either nothing or everything as a point of agreement. And there are things which are laughable on my end as well.

Care to list any of yours?

in a similar boat with the VA stuff and the opiod stuff. I like that veterans have pathways to better care. I like fighting addiction. But I don't like the perpetual increase of spending. It has to stop eventually even if it is spending on stuff i generally support.

I could later, if you like. It’s too much to get into right now while at work and on my phone, which is why I limited my answer to the World Cup (since I figured people would be a lot less likely to address that point and bringing the World Cup to the USA is something I’ve wanted to see for years).

I chuckle, and sometimes chortle, whenever I hear Trump is serious about his "Space Force" becoming the 6th branch of the military.

He's presiding over a really good economy, one that Obama deserves zero credit for, but I think it could be a lot better without protectionist policies.

And that is dead wrong. All of the economic indices were trending in the right direction at the end of Obama's 2nd term. The circumstances of the nation between January of 2009 and January of 2017 are not comparable and to suggest otherwise is ignorant.

You're right, they were trending in the right direction. Obama's policies actually slowed economic growth. Things like the Stimulus and Cash for Clunkers did far more harm than good.
