When I think of coaches, I don't think of any that are/were one of the greatest to ever play their game.
Exactly. The only superstar player in any sport that I can think of that became a decent coach in the past 10-15 years is Larry Bird, and he only lasted a few seasons.
Most of the time it's a miserable experience i.e. Tragic Johnson.
That, plus the old maxim "chances are slim and none and slim just left town". He might enjoy the challenge but I can't imagine him wanting the Excedrin headache # 3759 that comes with the job of being a college hfc.I think the prospects of that happening can be found at the corner of Slim Blvd and No Chance Avenue.
