The economy is in bad shape and I don't think anyone expects it to improve in the very near future. I wouldn't doubt Goodys is doing the same as every other retailer, trying to reduce the inventory it's carrying and therefore reduce it's amount of borrowed money. JC Penny here is laying off people in the next 2 weeks. Whoever heard of a retail store laying off people in Mid November?
