True/False, Ryan Williams will be the best back we face...

Is Ryan Williams the best tailback we'll see all season?

False. Ingram and McCluster are both better IMO. He'll still be tough though.

Isn't this guy in the ACC? For lack of a better term, I'll just call it the "Spiller" factor. Against the ACC's terrible defenses, Spiller at Clemson snuck in the heisman discussion only to run for 18 yards against South Carolina. I know this isn't the same team, and they don't have the same o-line, and I'm being a little bit of an SEC homer, but... I really don't think he's the best we'll face. Other SEC running backs we have played have put up better numbers against better defenses. Period. He put up 100 against Alabama, but other than that... I really don't care that he had 183 against Virginia. Who doesn't? NC State, Maryland, Virginia, Duke, East Carolina, GT (you saw what UGA did right?), Marshall, UNC, Boston College, Miami? All pretty terrible defenses... and he only had 83 against Duke. No way this guy is as good as Ingram.

Voted Ingram. Should have allowed a multiple choice poll. I would have voted 3 times. Although the last one covers it well. Which I did not see. Did you Edit.

I'm kinda torn on this one. In his first ever game he looked good against Bama. But McCluster made plays against us that were just crazy. Ingram didn't impress me when they played us. That wildcat rushing crap makes a RB stats look better than he is. We'll see he is a very good back though.

He has potential to develop into a better back than any of the others, but he isn't there yet.

Do any of you guys watch him consistently? I have seen just about everyone of their games (Dad is VT alumn) and this kid is the best RB I have seen all year. He is an absolute dynamic running back.

Those options are laughable above as well. Ingram can have a case made for him, but Demps? Seriously??

Ryan Williams is one of most complete backs I have ever seen. The only thing I see him lacking is the speed to run away from DBs. He is really fast even for a RB don't get me wrong, but he should try to develop a 6th gear over the offseason. Other than that, he is the best that I have seen. Outstanding vision, ability to lower the shoulder, and as Orion Martin said, "His moves have moves."

The best back our D has to face is faced every time the Vols practice.... His name? Montario Hardesty.

Would anyone say Mccluster would be the best back we would see before we played them? Probably not. I dont think anyone can match what Mccluster did to us this year. With that be said I voted no BUT if he comes out and has a monster day I will say yes he was the best back.

He's pretty good. Hard to say how good considering his line is pretty much not good. Kind of like every other good back in every other good season VT has had in the past decade. Good enough?

RW is good.

He is as slick as a minnow's peter. And fast.

Our D must limit his big plays to neutralize what he brings to the table.

Grimes had some good OLs while here at tech. Actually it might have been the best part of the team. There is speculation that it might not have been clean though.....
