Troy? Really?

This team looked great in 2nd half vs UF and TAMU. The offense looked great this week against UK, but it's damn UK. The rest of the year has been a train wreck.

While everyone was screaming we could easily have won a bunch of games last year, we easily could have lost at least a couple more. Hard to say a 7-3 season with a win against FL and GA and very respectable loss on the road against A&M along with a shot at SEC East is a train wreck. People can discount the SEC East all they want, but we took it to A&M on the road and Georgia just beat Auburn. Sure Arkansas whooped FLA, but if FLA beats LSU what can you say? And if they don't, that makes our season even better. I personally think it is Alabama and everyone else in NCAA football. Michigan just lost to Iowa kids and Clemson to Pitt AT HOME. Pitt was only 5-4 before that game. Some very good teams have almost dropped equally as bad losses. Bad losses happen--especially on the road and especially to teams with locker room troubles and injuries.

While we just got back Sutton and Kirkland, we are still playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers everywhere else on D folks, so don't expect much. We had a great 1st lineup to start the season and probably good enough to beat everyone we played, but by the time we hit Alabama they were gone. The starters that were left just went through FLA, GA on road, A&M on road.

Im very happy where we are considering all things--as long as we win out of course. I was hoping Florida would lose a couple and was saying to a lot of people I thought they might, so keep up hope. We may just have almost everyone back and healthy other than Hurd and Maybin by the time the SEC Championship rolls around and have our chemistry going by the time we play Alabama and show up as a different team. But now we have lost Berry & Kelly and Wiseman and Tuttle. This injury bug is the true train wreck of our season. We are simply beat to hell and we are lucky to even be in the situation we are in, but our kids have earned it. Let it play out. If we end up 10-4 with an SEC East Championship that is huge. If anyone would have scoffed at that 4 years ago, they would have been smacked. No matter how a person framed it.

You know it's bad when people that are Vol fans are talking about how bad the Vol fans are.

Welcome to the Walking Dead or Team 120; all your favorites won't last long!

Any team in the nation would be struggling on Defense given the injury list. We have young DEs playing DT and that equals your LBs having to fend off blocks 2-3yds downfield on every play because the O-Line doesn't need to double team a DT then move on to LB.

Cam helps us out but you could tell he is not 100% yet. That win is offset by losing TKjr (among others) so our pass rush is edge only and we have massive inexperience at DB.

Folks, we should have won the USC game without a doubt, but the fact that we are winning despite this adversity is amazing. We have the Offense (now) to beat Mizzou and Vandy but they are going to score.

GBO! Keep fighting!

They hung with Clemson all the way to the end. I can see them being in. Doesn't explain why we aren't though. North Carolina being in is laughable.

Everybody hangs with Clemson all the way to the end. Doesn't mean anything. It's like looking good against us in the 1st half or beating Missouri.

Spot on. And I really think it all comes down to not running dobbs very often in almost all of the poor performances and using Hurd all year even though he was totally ineffective

Playing for seccg is a wreck? Na, it's a damn miracle from where we have been. From dooley to seccg, what a success story. You idiots amaze me. Appreciate the ride. Cmon lsu and send us to the promise land.

Finally. A functioning brain.

They are 8-1 and lost by 6 to Clemson. Some of you guys need to get some perspective by watching other games than reruns of the Butch Jones Show.

They deserve to be ranked over a 6-3 team that was annihilated by Bama and lost to a terrible SC team.

Fact is this

My proposal.
Tn should leave the SEC
go independent

Heres schedule
@ troy
@ idaho
Vs central michigan
Vs buffalo
@ colorado (quality opponent)
@ western carolina
Boise st
Memphis
Alcorn st
Alabama (keep this game)
@ texas tech
MTSU

We would go 11-1 and be in playoff every year.. Heck this is what many in top 25 schedule looks like

How many times can they step on their own d@@@ and prove a W is better than any loss. Schedules don't matter. It doesn't matter who you play so schedule cream puffs so that we get a dub and rest the starters.

So stop scheduling VT and OU. Sign up to play little sisters of the blind U. Smdh

Ride?

This team IS the same 2012 team with more talent and about 3 game saving breaks that team didn't get..

Troy would beat USCjr, we have the talent to destroy USCjr and didn't show up. Every year there's a USCjr game and every year CBJ fails to win these games. That's what the SEC and big time college football is.

Well we got the breaks and the other teams didn't. I believe you make your own breaks.

We could go to the seccg, please tell me that's what you hoped for at the beginning do the year. I've lived long enough to know things don't happen the way we want. We weren't supposed to win it all in 98, but we did.

It will be ok as long as lsu handles fl. I will be thrilled if we get a rematch with Bama and we still have a chance at 10 wins.

Let's face it, you're mad Hurd quit and we were upset at sc. It's Jones only upset we have had and I don't blame him for an idiot (some could blame the idiot, meaning Hurd, for the upset). Isn't it nice that we have a program good enough to be the team that cpukd be upset and not rely on us upsetting somebody for a good season (Dooley years)?

Go vols and geaux Tigers.

He beat USC, ga, Florida and many other ranked opponents. It will be alright, foolish to not realize we are so much better now than with Dooley.

Man, this is as ridiculous as putting Navy ahead of us was last year. We may stink it up but we would kick their collective butts all over the place.

This is the same Troy team that gave Clemson all it could handle. For being the first ever Sun Belt team ranked in the Top 25, I think they are mighty deserving! C-USA gets a lot of flack but the talent level in conference has been steadily rising over the last 4 years.
