While we are at it, why don't we bring back lava lamps, VW Beatles and hip hugger jeans? Oh that's right , we already did. :peace:

Trooper is absolutely helping OK state. My buddy is an alum and he says, while it might not be all him, TT is definitely bringing something to the table. I always liked troop and didn't want him to leave. My friend thanks me every week for giving him TT!!

well I'm an alum of UT and won't miss him. He's a decent recruiter and a good position coach. That's all

If Trooper was here we'd all be saying the same thing about him as we are Clawson. We just got rid of him a year earlier than we would have anyway, thank goodness.

Trooper Taylor handles 50% of all calls at Ok. State and is instrumental in getting guys ready to play. I think with him as OC we would have won a more games.

You just make up that statistic? nevermind I know the answer.

So, when Mike Gundy told the Oklahoma City paper that Trooper Taylor calls exactly 0 plays, he was lying?

Trooper motivates guys and have them ready to play every Saturday he knows talent and knows what guys do best. He knew Cuts offense and we would not have had to change schemes we would have won 2-3 more games!

Two OC making calls 100% divided by two = ? You do the math.duh Bottom line it was a mistake leting him get away.

lol, he doesn't make half the calls. He makes no calls, as Gundy has said publically. He is co-offensive coordinator by name only. He is only there for recruiting.

Are we ready to admit that it was a mistake to not give him a shot in lieu of hiring DC? He couldn't have been any worse and he aleady knew the players.

When trooper was the RB coach, we lead the conference in fumbles.

When he was the WR coach, his receivers never stretched a route to pick up a first down.

Was Trooper ever here to coach, or just recruit?

Take another look at the facts. In '04 when Trooper was running backs coach we had TWO 1000 yard rushers. And that was with every team keying in on our rb's because our qb's were either freshmen or Rick Clausen

In '05 he turned Foster (3* recruit iirc) into a decently good back.

In '06 when he switched to wr coach, we had one of the best receivers in the country in Robert Meachem. What did Meachem do in his UT career before Trooper was his coach? Nothing except complain.

In '07 he convinced all of you that Lucas Taylor was a go-to receiver and that Austin Rogers was servicable.

He was a good position coach and recruiter, both with proven results.

And yet now that he's gone he gets zero respect. I'm guessing because he dared leave the staff and left fans feeling cheated. He may not be an OC, but he certainly is successful in whatever compacity he inputs on an offense so far, a heck of a lot more than we're seeing now. To belittle Taylors contributions to the Vols in seasons past is almost as ridiculous as belittling what he does with OK State, it's petty.

Zero calls by TT. Not only is Gundy making all the play calls but the other co-OC is in the booth to get a better view of needed adjustments

Im with you Dan, i dont know if TT will ever come back in any capacity, but i wish him the best in whatever he does. Man has a passion like no other and could get players ready and look forward to saturdays. Lets not start on his recruiting skills :salute:
