Troop is....

I had actually heard that last week given my proximity to big 12 coverage... and thought it was ironic. Wasn't he promised that role when he made the move...? At least it seemed like part of his reason for leaving was that he wasn't going to have play calling duties here after Cut left.

doesnt surprise me that hes not calling plays
when he left i thought he was going as a position coach
he could have called a better game than claw last week
think he would have kept running
everytime i think of that game i cant get past how idiotic claws game plan was

This was reported on here last week I think..and it was even on ESPN maybe that the head coach had taken back play calling duties for the first time in x number of years. I want to know what two offensive coordinators do if neither are calling the plays!!

Gundy is calling the plays... He called them last year in the bowl game and was the OC there when Miles was the Head Coach....

Gundy has a long friendship with Trooper and told Trooper he needed him out here. Apparently it's workin whether Troopers callin plays or not, his presence isn't being detremental.

Troop went for the title. that's what he was looking for on resume..

That is exactly right... I will see Troop this Friday, he is going to be speaking at a Luncheon for our team... He is also the coach who is recruiting Millwood, which is extremely smart seeing how close of a relationship that Gerald and Troop had...

They probably break down evrything and then present it to Gundy and he finalizes everything and then calls the plays... Im sure that they put in their 2 cents in the games... Where I am now, I am basically the Ofeensive Coordinator, but I run everything through our Head Coach during the games.. Basically we both Coordinate during the game, he is more of a run game coordinator and I am the passing game coordinator.. We have worked together so long that it just fits up pretty well... He has to pull the reins back somtimes or hell i'll try and throw it 40 times a game... Our game Friday night we threw the ball 28 times for 215 yards and 4 tds and we rushed the ball 40 times for 210 yards and a td...

Wrong forum. This has nothing to do with the Vols.
I slightly disagree. The one coach on the Vols staff in the past who seemed to get players to perform goes out to Okie State is a success at least in the short term. What he left is...what we are left with, an 0-1 team whose fans and probably the players are demoralized and sour. I think it belongs in this forum.

Troop is....irrelevant. He left. Good riddance.

Honestly, other than chest bumps, remind me what was so great about him. Backwards hat maybe. (though kids on my team run laps for that)

Bringing the hammer down...

Maybe some of the football coaches around the country can follow your lead and punish these guys for getting all of these tatoos, ear rings and dreadlocks.

I'll just say there is a difference in age groups. I (this and past years) coach a 7yo travel baseball team. We finished 3rd of 48 teams in the World Series. More importantly, we won the Sportsmanship award for the second straight year. (Wills Park Predators)

He may be irrelevant but the Pokes are 3-0 and rolling...he seems to have some relevance out here.
