Trick Plays : Alabama Version

Jones has dialed some trick plays this season that have gone unnoticed mostly due to how the games turned out to be.

There was an incomplete pass by Jennings on reverse in previous game (Florida I believe) and Jennings threw for a TD to Dobbs against TAMU.

I would be curious to see if Jones dails something up against Bama at home. We have seen that crazy jump pass to TE and also the fake FG for TD last year. In last year's Florida game, they lined up in Wildcat with Hurd under center and an unbalanced line. That play did not happen due to false start.

Any guesses to what we will see or what you would like to see ?

I would personally like to see some formation for a fake where we can involved Sheriron and have him throw a deep one to Malone or JJ.

If someone other than Dobbs is gonna throw it, it should be JJ. Throw Sheriron out there and everyone will know something is up. JJ is out there anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing a trick play called at an opportune time this week though

I love a well executed hook and ladder...and with JJ being an ex QB he's my choice to receive the ball and make the pitch...preferable to Byrd (fastest man on the rooster)...

If you execute it well, the D gives up the sideline after the initial reception as JJ turns up field and then he makes an option like lateral to Byrd flying close to the sideline...

Put SJ out there as a decoy, spare receiver downfield.

Preferably not. He's not that dependable. But I like your idea.

I remember Satan doing an onside kick the first time he faced dools. I would love to see some kind of onside, or a fake punt inside our own territory would be awesome. Thinking that in this game with our team depleted as it is, we will have to steal some points/possessions at some point in this game.

I liked the trick play, but I thought it was overkill in that instance. Wasn't first down inside the five? He should have kept that one in his pocket when he needed it more.

I think we'll see Hurd do some wildcat formations with Kamara, Dobbs, and Jennings. I expect some sort of flea-flicker with this formation. Dobbs to Malone or Kamara on a wheel route

I had a dream!!!!!!!
we go up 3 TD's early, on the third kickoff, bUTch put in an onside kick, we get it and run it in for a TD.

35-7 at half time!I have seen it!
